upgrade graphics card internal or external

Product Name: hp omen 15.6" touchscreen
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

im looking to upgrade my graphics card or get an external one because my graphics card is too low for an htc vive what i want to buy. Right now my graphics card is a GeForce GTX 860m, and i want a GeForce GTX 960m or 1070, is there anyway to upgrade it internally or externally. Thank you

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

I read your post about upgrading graphics and wanted to help -- but need more information.

 

Please follow these instructions for finding the detailed product number of your laptop: Finding Your HP Product Model Number | HP® Customer Support

 

Consumer laptops have video chips that are soldered to the system boards and are not consumer replacable items.

 

In addition, external video adapters are only for general office work and will not provide the performance needed for gaming -- if that is your intention.

Sorry, but what you posted is not a valid product number for a laptop.

 

Read the linked instructions again or look to see if there is a sticker like this in the battery compartment:
