Omen 17-w239tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello!

I just bought an Omen 17-w239tx laptop.  It has an M.2 SSD for its primary drive, and I'd like to add a seconardary SATA drive.  However, the notebook didn't come with the necessary cable and bracket kit to mount a drive in the open bay.  Where can I get those things?

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

The Riddle_Decipher is at your service.

As I Understand you want to know where to get the SATA cable connecter for your Omen 17-w239tx

No worries as I'd love to help, however, I need a few more details to provide an accurate solution:

Did you ensure there is space available on your computer for an extra hard drive?

Did you check the service manual guide to obtain the details of the cable?

If you haven't done the above, Click here to view the service manual with the answers to your queries. (Look under Page. 26)

And to help you out here's the part# 857462-001 for the Hard drive back connector and hard drive cable.

The part number is universal and can be purchased at any local store or online stores as such as Amazon, Ebay, etc...

If you wish to order genuine HP parts: Click here to search & here to order.

If I have helped you resolve the issue, feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon below,

Followed by clicking on "Accept as solution" from the drop-down menu on the upper right corner,

Thank you for posting in the HP Support Forum.  Have a great day!
