Can print directly from iphone but can’t use HP Smart app

Hi! 

Got a new HP Envy 6220 yesterday for our home. Can’t get it to connect to the HP Smart App though! The app can not find any printers.

- I am connected to the wfi

- I can use the printer by just tapping a photo and choosing ”print” from  the iphone’s ios standard options.

would love some input on how to get the official app to work with the hardware that the iphone finds with no fiddling at all.. 🙂

Performing a network reset and then uninstalling and re-installing HP Smart App may resolve the issue. Let's try these steps:

1.) Remove HP Smart App from your iPhone.

2.) Turn off your iPhone, Printer and Router.

3.) Unplug the power from the back of router, wait for 10 -15 seconds.

4.) Connect the power cable back to router, turn on the router first. Wait till the router to initialize.

5.) Turn on Printer and iPhone.

6.) Download and install HP Smart App from here. 

7.) Open HP Smart App, If your printer does not display, tap the Plus sign to select a printer from the list of found printers or set up a new one, and then follow the on-screen instructions.
