Product: HP ENVY 5055 All-in-One Printer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The wifi in my home is bad, which makes printing speed very slow. So I bought a USB cabel for the printer, alothogh the speed up, I still cannot use this printer without WIFI connected, when the WIFI situation is worse, the HP smart shows the printer is offline, but the USB is connected and ready to print.

 

I want to ask if I cannot use this printer without WIFI? Why the speed of printing is so slow even it connects USB?

Yes, you can use USB. All printers support number of PPM (Pages Per Miniute). Faster connection won't make them print faster.
