Can’t print thru WiFi from my iPad, os16.1.1, on my HP smart printer.

Can you print any other type of content from the iPad to this printer?

For example, can you print a PDF file?

Where are the photos located?

For example, Are they in a cloud account or located in "Files" on the iPad?

If you have not done so,

Try / Consider

Restart everything, including the router that controls your network.

Make sure the application has access to the content.

For example,

Perhaps copy the photo (from where it is currently stored) into Files

True - this would not normally be required.  For example, you should be able to Print after opening Photos.

An odd thing to try that might work if the issue is simply one of accessing the photo...

Open HP Smart

Select Printer Scan  > Photos

When the scan menu opens, select to change the Source

Select to import -- Source = Files and Photos

If you can find the photo open it

Once the photo is opened,

Optionally Edit the photo (and click Done to close)

Select the next option

Save (if edited)

Print

Optionally Share (to email)
