Neverstop 1202w
Chrome OS

I have been unable to print from my Chromebook to the 1202w. The printer is connected to the same WiFi as the Chromebook, shows up in the Chromebook printer settings; but when trying to print, the printer displays with the error "can't connect to printer".

@bigbandito, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand you are not able to print wirelessly from your Chromebook.

  • Make sure the printer and the Chromebook are connected to the same wireless network. Either 2.4 or 5GHz network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks.
  1. On the Chromebook, click the clock in the bottom right corner, and then click the Settings icon .

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the screen, and then click Advanced.

  3. Under Printing, click Printers > Add Printer.

    • If your printer displays, select it, and then click Add.

    • If your printer does not display, click Add Manually, and then follow the instructions. For more information, go to Chromebook Help - Set up your printer (in English).

    Clicking Add
