Solved!
Cannot connect to wireless printer
06-05-2017 05:00 AM

I cannot connect to my wireless printer because Windows 10 is insisting on a WPS PIN.
There is no PIN number with the printer and there is no PIN number on my router. I have also tried connecting using the network password but it invalidates it despite it eing correct.
This seems to be a widespread issue but I have yet to find a solution.
For some reason I can print from my phone app.
There is not much point in having a wireless printer if nothing (bar my phone) can connect to it.

I have already used the wizard. The printer is connected to the router and registered on the network. I can see it on all devices.
I installed the printer on 2 laptops a desktop and my iPhone. I was able to print test pages after each installation.
However, I cannot print documents as the printer appears as"offline".
The reason it is "offline" is because the installation on the laptop needs this magical PIN number that no one can find, to authorise the connection to the printer.

If you are connected to your router, why do you need a PIN number???? You did install the full featured software and drivers on that computer correct?

OK....
The issue is down to my laptop connecting to a VPN. I didn't realise all the other PC's could still print OK.
I see there is no wireless solution when connected to a VPN so I guess this can be closed.
Sorry, I should have thought of that earlier.
