Cannot get printer set up on new network because settings say LOCKED by admin

macOS 10.12 Sierra

I recently upgraded my Internet speed with Spectrum and connected a new modem/router (ubee). My printer was connected to my previous modem/router (linksys) but now I can not get connected to wifi with the new modem. I have searched all forums and support and see several questions regarding the matter that wireless setup, network settings, restore network settings, etc ALL say LOCKED by admin or person that set up the printer (which was ME), but have not found a solution that has worked. I have had the printer over a year and have tried everything I know and can not get it to connect or be recognized on my network.

 

PLEASE HELP!!

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums.

 

I understand that you have an HP OfficeJet 7510 Wide Format All-in-One Printer and you're unable to connect it to the network as the network settings in it are locked. Not worry, I'll do my best to help you. 

 

I suggest you to reset the printer. Doing this will erase any locks that do not allow you to access the network settings in the printer. 

I have sent you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please note that resetting the printer will completely restore the printer to its original factory settings.

Help!

I have a similar problem.  I moved from Germany to the USA and then back to Germany.  I cannot access the system at all.  System tells me this feature was locked or disabled by the administrator.  For more information, contact the person who set up the printer.    Well, that person is me.  I am getting no where.

 

Help !
