Cannot print 11 X 17 remotely...only comes out as 8 1/2 X 11. this is from Windows 7 machine

I am trying to get 11 X 17 prints out of my office jet 7740 from people printing remotely to my machine.   their 11 X 17 images  are coming out as 8 1/2 by 11...from tray 1....how do I get things directed to tray 2 remotely?

any help would be appreciated.

If you are using ePrint, the software cannot print 11 x 17 -Print size defaults to Letter or A4 (regional).

You MIGHT be able to force control of the printer Trays using the Embedded Web Server (EWS)

That said, ePrint is limited; the size of the incoming print may not change; worse, the job might even fail.

If the printer is on your local network,

If EWS is available,

Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Settings > Preferences > Tray and Paper Management

If applicable, check the Advanced section (at the bottom of the Tray and Paper Management menu)

Click Apply to save changes

HP Smart / HP Connected > Troubleshooting > HP Printers - HP ePrint Job Does Not Print

Step 2: Check the email and print job requirements

What else?

Ask the client email you the document.

Download, Open, and Print the document locally at the size wanted.
