My new Laserjet Pro M255 is set up and working except for this minor issue with my iPad...
When I send a print job through either AirPrint or HP Smart the printer holds the print job until I press OK on the printer's touch screen to release the job. Why does it require this prompting? You cannot print any other jobs until each print job is released. BTW, there is plenty of paper in the tray. What am I missing here. See attached image of the touch screen awaiting input to print.

The paper size and paper type setting on your printer must match the paper size and paper type setting on your device you are printing from. If they don't match like in your case printer prompts the user with message you are seeing on display.

Valsimot,
Thank you for the reply but I don't see how to confirm or configure any paper size on my mobile device (iPad Air 3) or with the printer to confirm they match before printing. If you can provide that info (in detail), it would be very helpful.

Every time you load paper in tray printer informs you do you want to keep paper or modify paper settings. Try using any size any type setting on the printer fort both trays then try to print from a device. And check default paper size on your printer is properly set to A4/Letter depending on what size you are using.

Valsimot,
Here are the settings for paper setup, as they have been, reading from the web based adminstrator interface of the printer. The paper settings are as you suggested. I use letter size paper in tray 2 when printing from mobile device. Obviously, there is something else going on here. Very weird.
