I’m trying to connect my old printer up for my friend on her WiFi. I’m not for sure if there is a way I can reset the printer. So she can set it up on her WiFi.

You need to download full driver, run setup and follow instructions. During installation the setup will ask the user how he wants to connect a printer, you select wireless, the setup will ask to temporarily connect the printer and a computer with a USB cable so that the setup can configure the printer to new wireless. After setup is complete you unplug the USB cable and continue to use the printer wirelessly.

That is for Microsoft Windows user, you didn't specify your OS.

Press and hold both the Wireless and Cancel buttons till the Power light starts blinking, then make sure your mobile device is connected to your wireless network and that you see an HP-Setup wireless network listed within the nearby networks listץ

 

Open HP Smart and click the plus sign, then follow the steps on screen.
