Hi,

I have spent hours trying to connect my printer to my new router as I have just moved house, it was working ok at old property when connected via sky router, but the problem is that it is still connected to the sky router.

How do I connect ( get the same ssid  codes) for printer and new router  Plus net.

i am using an iPad, have tried connecting with the wps no joy, also cannot connect with wifi direct as not supported bi iOS .

Printer is just over year and only use a couple of times and don't really want to buy another one .

Any helps ideas appreciated.

Hi

Dunno.

I have a replacement router and the SSID was different, so no devices connected.

Choice 1 go round and change all the devices.

Choice 2 Rename the Router WiFi to match the devices.

I went with choice 2.

Then when I had a new device I set up a guest WiFi to segregate it from the other devices.

So it is on a different IP range 192.168.1.1 and not 192.168.0.1

"router Plus net.   "

Login and change things.

Ask Plus Net the model so a manual can be found.

Thanks for the reply,

but im afraid I'm not technically minded when it comes to routers/ computers etc, so what your suggesting makes no sense to me??

Have tried everything from the hp website virtual assistants , wps connection  etc only to continue round in a loop back to where I started.

all I'm trying to do is connect my printer which still holds my old router settings ( which need deleting) then hopefully it will find my printer and I can reconnect to my new router, my printer has no LCD display so I don't know how to access the settings menu.

When it was working at my old address I think it was more luck than judgement that I got it working!

The problem with instructions on computers / printers etc is that the makers think everyone is technically minded!!

thanks
