Hello all,
I'm having a bit of trouble trying to work around my wifi network at university which is encrypted, preventing me from connecting to my printer. If at all possible i would appreciate any tips to work around this.
If not possible would you mind informing me how to connect my printer over cable whilst still letting it communicate with HP instant ink (so it stops telling me to connect)?
Thanks

Hi,
HP Instant Ink requires internet access, meaning the service cannot be used with a USB connection.
I suggest checking with your university IT for any possibility of connecting a printer to the network, most chances a such cannot be done due to security policies.
Also be aware that while connecting the printer to a shared network, users connected to that network may print to your printer.
If a such cannot be done you may simply connect a USB cable to the printer, but you will need to purchase standard cartridges from any nearby store and cancel the HP Instant Ink service.
