HP 8028

Recently purchased new printer HP 8028, First time using mobile/e-mail printing.

The quality of the ink is faded with horizontal streaks, this is compared to regular printing which comes out great.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • What is the operating system?
  • Are you printing from Android phone or IOS device?

While you respond to that, let's try these steps:

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Sorry I think I phrased my question incorrectly.

What I mean is the e-mail printing, where is send an email to my printer, produces faded lines. I have not tried the mobile print etc.

Hi @samsonitius,

Have you tried Eprinting other documents/photos?

While you respond to that, Let's try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

So i tried my printer again, apparently its just printing out streaks when its black texts. I did the cleaning 3 times, still very streaky. This is also a new printer with new ink.

Thank you for posting back.

Does copy come out streaky? if it does then it is cartridge issue
Let's change the quality settings and check.

By default, ePrint uses the following print settings:

· Print quality: Normal

· Print color: Full color

· Paper size for emails: Letter or A4

· Paper size for image attachments: 101.6 x 152.4 mm (4 x 6 in)

· Number of prints: 1

· Paper orientation: Identical to the original document

· 1-sided printing

For eligible printers, additional preferences are available when you add your printer on the HP Smart website. Go to Setting Up an Account on the HP Smart Website for steps to set up the account. Once added, click My Printers to change the settings.

· Print in color or monochrome

· Select plain or photo paper

· Enable 2-sided (duplex) printing.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hi Echo_Lake,

yes, all forms of printing come out streaky, the colors are slightly. This is a new printer and the cartridge came with it. It was purchased this month. How can I refund to get new ink? or can I get one sent by mail?

Thanks
