Eprint prints A4 in photo size

I have a smart tank 615 printer. Every time I print to my HP eprint email address it prints out the size of a photo even though I have A4 paper in the printer. The documents I am trying to print are full size and not photos. I looked in the settings on the hp website but my printer doesn't have a preferences option. I reset the printer twice and it didn't help.

I can print out fine using hpsmart app.

Any ideas?

ePrint Photos print in 4x6 inch size.

Yes, Documents should print full size on the paper selected in the printer.

ePrint is old tech -- it's many limitations are built into the software.

True, HP Smart is "smarter" than ePrint in this regard.

Read the section for any anomalies.

Try / Consider

Reload the paper using the instructions in the  User Guide  - starting on Page 18

Immediately check / re-adjust the paper size / type of paper using the printer control panel.

OR

Check / Adjust the Tray and Paper settings for Paper Size / Type.

If the printer is on your network, use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) to check / adjust the settings.

EWS – Browser – Tray and Paper Management

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Settings > Preferences > Tray and Paper (Management)

Select / Adjust settings for Paper Size / Type

Model Dependent:  Advanced section

Click Apply to save changes

Tray and Paper – Paper Size / Paper Type / Paper Weight

Reminder

HP Smart Mobile might require that paper size / type is rechecked / adjusted.

Paper Size, Type, and Weight loaded in the printer tray must be supported for use in that tray.

EWS provides access and control to check / adjust Tray and Paper Settings.

Notes

Depending on the printer model, the Printer Control Panel might provide access to Paper Size / Type settings immediately after the paper is (re)loaded into the appropriate printer intake tray.

Trays

• If the printer lacks a second tray, all paper / types are supported in the single available tray.
• Printers that include a Photo Tray generally restrict the paper sizes and paper type supported in that tray.

What else?

Because other printing is working, the next is less likely to fix "just eprint".

That said, it's not harmful to the printer and might kick the setup back into place.

I'm sure that eprint isn't only for photos? Am I not supposed to be able to print an A4 document to A4 paper?
