HP Envy Photo 7130
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone,

I am having an issue with my Envy Photo 7130, as soon as I start it, it goes to the loading screen till it's nearly done and then switches to a blue screen, showing a power logo with the code 00829c98.

The touch-buttons and power button start flashing and the only was to reset it, is by pressing power long enough, to start a new start-up, with the same result or cutting the power.

I was looking through the forums, found a few tips, so here is what i tried already:

- Connect it to a wall socket, without extension or surge protector, after waiting for 5-10min and pressing the power button for about a minute before turning it back on.

- I tried this with and without the local network powered up, since it usually works via WiFi.

- I tried getting out the cartridges after the first failed attempt, performing another hard reset by disconnecting everything, wait, press power for a minute and start again.

- I tried connecting it via USB to my PC and power the printer via an extension with the same result.

- I just tried connecting the printer to a wall socket, while connecting it with a notebook via USB, with/without local networking powered up and with/without cartridges inside the printer.

All in all, I kinda used up the better half of a day, trying everything I found on the net, but nothing works.

It just powers up and the moment you hear the sound from the cartridges adjusting, it turns to the blue screen, so I can't update the Firmware, as is suggested, because neither my PC nor notebook gets a connection to the printer long enough via USB to do anything before loosing it again due to the error.

I bought this printer only 2 years ago and didnt use it regularly, but kept it updated as best I could.

Is there anything I can try besides the things I already did? Or is it just broken and I have to go looking for new one again?

Best regards and thanks in advance,

 Michael
