HP Envy 5055
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've been unable to connect to the Wifi and I get stuck on "Searching for Wireless Router" when trying to to configure the network.

I've follow all troubleshooting steps from resetting my router, to factory reset my printer - same issue.

- I've proceed to restore the network setting but still same message.

- Try to start Wifi Direct but there is no communication between the computer and printer.

- Changed to Wifi Protected Setup but I was unable to connect the printer to my network even by using the PIN or the WPS Push button.

I've been experiencing the same issue for over a week and nothing I've done has fix the issue. Could anybody please let me know what else can I do to resolved this issue?

@WillCastilloY, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

  • This printer supports only 2.4GHz network. So, the PC should be on the 2.4GHz network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks.
  • Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network.
  • You may also try to change the channel number from the EWS page of the router and then try to run the wireless setup on the printer screen.

If the issue persists, Go to Setup > Wireless > Print a wireless test report

Check if the wireless radio is working.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
