Hi @Kfwhitfo

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

  • What do you see on the printer screen?
  • Any error messages?

Tap the '?' symbol on the printer and it will give you further information.

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

Check if the print carriage is moving freely and reinsert the ink cartridges.

Try making a standalone copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

If the printer is able to make a copy, you may connect the phone and the printer to print.

Refer to this document to know how to print.

Note: The default password for wireless direct is 12345678. There will be no internet access on the phone while using wireless direct to print.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
