Hi @Tree_Cross1

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It seems like there may be a conflict with your HP Smart App on your iPhone 13, potentially causing the sign-in error and miscommunication between the app and your printer.

Let’s work through this and get everything connected properly.

1. Troubleshoot the HP Smart App

Clear Cache and Restart the App:

  • Force close the HP Smart App on your iPhone.
  • Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage, find the HP Smart App, and clear its cache (if possible).
  • Restart your iPhone and try reopening the app.

Ensure the App Is Up to Date:

  • Open the App Store, search for "HP Smart," and check if there’s an update available. Install it if one exists.

Reinstall the App:

  • Delete the app from your iPhone and reinstall it from the App Store. Once reinstalled, try logging in again.

2. Add Your Printer Without Signing In

Even if you’re unable to sign in, you can still add your printer directly:

  1. Open the HP Smart App.
  2. Tap + (Add Printer), and it should search for devices on your Wi-Fi network.
  3. Select your printer (e.g., HP Envy 6155e) from the list.
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to set up the printer for your phone.

3. Reset Network Settings

If the app isn’t detecting the printer:

  • Reset the Printer’s Network Settings:
    • Press and hold the Wireless button and Cancel button on your printer for 5 seconds until the Wi-Fi light blinks.
  • Reconnect Printer to Wi-Fi:
    • Use the HP Smart App or WPS on your router to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi.
  • Confirm your iPhone is also connected to the same 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.

4. Use AirPrint Without the App

While resolving the app issue, you can still print directly from your phone:

  1. Open a document or photo on your iPhone.
  2. Tap the Share button, scroll down, and select Print.
  3. Select your HP Envy 6155e from the list (if connected to the same Wi-Fi network).
  4. Print as normal.

If this solution hits the spot, please come back and click "Accepted Solution" to help others find the answer. And if you'd like to say thanks, select "Yes" on the bottom left of the public post, as that would make our day!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
