HP Smart Webpage Loop

HP Recommended
HP DeskJet 3630 All-in-One Printer Series
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello,

I am just posting this to report an issue, which i was able to solve myself.

I got a message a while ago that HP Connected was replaced by HP Smart. I was welcomed to join and create an account.

I created the account and selected "Greece"  as i would normally do. While entering the HP Smart webpage though, my browser got stuck in an endless loop, redirecting continuously from "https://www.hpsmart.com/us/en/myprinter/" to "https://www.hpsmart.com/gr/el/myprinter/" and adding the sequence "/gr/el/myprinter" into infinite.

I tried disabling adblockers, changing browser, etc.. Nothing worked.

I somehow was fast enough to click into Account Name> Settings...and there i was....

On this page "https://myaccount.id.hp.com/uaa" i managed to change country to United States and problem was gone.

Just wanting to verify, i one more toggled to "Greece" while at same time keeping the language to "English (United States)" as it always was.

Again, the problem reappeared.

So, even if i don't know if this can happen with other Countries set also, if anyone comes up to the same problem, set everything to United States (Country & Language too).

Hope it is resolved somehow in the future.

Thank you

Thanks for posting your solution.

Yes, if it happened to you, then chances are that it can happen (or has happened) to someone else.

You may have just saved someone with your act of kindness.
