I just set up my HP Officejet Pro 9025e, and subscribed to the HP+ ink service.  But I'm concerned about the HP+ permissions and use of cloud storage since I'm an HIPAA Covered Entity (healthcare provider).   Even without HP+, does my all-in-one printer use a cloud service which is not HIPAA-secure for images (faxes, scans) or contact information (fax numbers)?  And will HP use gathered data about recipients of email I send from the printer to my patients or other providers (eg for marketing purposes)?  Can I get a BAA (Business Associate Agreement) to support my legally-mandated HIPAA compliance?  Or do I need to cancel HP+?

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Unfortunately, we wouldn't be able to provide that. Do not worry, nothing of that sort will happen.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution and Kudos buttons, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Thanks!

Have a great day!
