@Boyter56, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

To resolve the issue of printing wirelessly from your iPhone to your HP DeskJet 2820e via HP Wireless Direct, you should follow these steps to locate the HP Wireless Direct name and password:

Turn on HP Wireless Direct:

  • On your printer's control panel, navigate to the home screen.
  • Press the Wireless button and then select "Settings".
  • Check if Wireless Direct is turned on. If not, turn it on and choose either "On (No Security)" or "On (With Security)" depending on your preference.

Find the Wireless Direct Name and Password:

  • On your printer's display, select "Display Name" to show the wireless direct name, which should be something like "HP-Print-XX-Deskjet 2800" or similar.
  • If you have security enabled, select "Display Password" to find the password.

Connect Your iPhone to HP Wireless Direct:

  • On your iPhone, go to Wi-Fi settings.
  • Look for and connect to the printer's Wireless Direct name. If prompted, enter the password obtained from the printer's display.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
