HP smart printer won't print word files

Hp desk jet printer when i go to print documents it only shows pdf and photos as available to print.  Word documents are there but unavailable to select. How can i fix this?

You are correct:  HP Smart does not print Word documents.

Please Export your Word document to PDF format if you wish to print it with HP Smart.
