Hi @Shoebs42

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thank you for raising this query. Let’s carefully review the situation together. The HP LaserJet Pro M1136 Multifunction Printer series does not support direct printing from Android devices using the HP Print Service Plugin over an OTG (USB On-The-Go) connection.

This model is designed to work with USB connections to a computer and does not have built-in support for mobile printing via OTG.

Steps to Print from Android Devices:

  1. Install the HP Print Service Plugin from the Google Play Store on your Android device.
  2. Ensure your printer is connected to a computer via USB and that the computer has the printer driver installed.
  3. To print from Android, the recommended method is to use the HP App (formerly HP Smart) with supported printers that have wireless capability. Since the HP LaserJet Pro M1136 does not have wireless features, mobile printing is not supported directly.
  4. The supported workflow is to transfer the document from your Android device to a computer (via email, cloud storage, or USB cable) and then print using the installed HP driver for your printer.

You can use the HP Print Service Plugin with supported wireless printers, but the HP LaserJet Pro M1136 does not support OTG printing from Android. The practical option is to print through a computer connected to the printer.

For official HP documentation, please refer to:
HP Print Service Plugin – Android Printing Support

This ensures clarity: the printer model in question does not support OTG printing, and the recommended path is via a computer connection.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
