HP7740 printer has gotten very slow to print a page. Started about a
month ago. Occurs on 3 systems that are network connected. Printer sounds
like it is repositioning heads for 30-45 seconds per page. Firmware is current.
Have aligned and clean printheads.

Hi,
Please open and close both paper trays and evaluate the paper settings, make sure the correct paper size is selected and the correct paper type is set as Plain Paper, setting a photo paper as example may cause such behavior.
Please let me know if that helps,
If the same persists, print and evaluate a Printer Status Report:
https://support.hp.com/bg-en/document/c05161213
Does it print faster or slowly too?
Also, does it print as expected and with all colors as shown by the example report within the support document?

All the paper settings are correct. Open and closed drawers.
Made sure cartridges are inserted correctly. The printer is always slow,
now, even when printing multiple copies of the same page. It prints all
colors correctly. I've even checked that this happens on all systems and
iPads (it's a shared network printer). Time for a new printer?

How about a Printer Status Report?
https://support.hp.com/bg-en/document/c05161213
Does it print slowly too? does it list all colors as shown or may any specific color is missing there?
