Hello everyone, i've bought a HP Ink Tank Wireless 415 two days ago and so far printings are just fine. However a small detail: over the paper border there's these little black smears every time i print something on common A4 paper. The printer is loaded with original inks and is completely new. I've run the Head Cleaning assistant and the other tools, but to no avail.

Any advice? Is this entirely common? Thanks in advance.

Hi @JasperMalachi

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

Try making a standalone copy and check if the issue persists. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

Clean the paper rollers using an automated tool

1. Press the Power button to turn on the printer.

2. Remove paper from the input tray.

3. Press and hold the Power button, press the Cancel button three times, press the Color Copy button seven times, and then release the Power button. The printer makes some noise for approximately one minute. Wait until the printer stops making noises before you proceed.

4. Try to print. If the problem persists, proceed to clean the paper rollers manually.

Refer to page 87 of the user manual to know how to clean the paper rollers manually.

Now, print a print quality report

You can generate a print quality diagnostics report by pressing and holding the Color Copy button for three seconds.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
