Deskjet 2655

I just bought this deskjet 2655 and put it together. After I got it all together I noticed an error message blinking. I read into it more and it said I needed the setup cartridges. The ones in the box don’t appear to be setup cartridges. Is there a way to bypass them?

@Jerrybirmingham Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you would like to bypass the setup ink cartridges.

Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.

Please Install standard replacement ink cartridges in place of the SETUPs ink cartridges

If the issue still persists, please perform the below steps and check for the issue.

  1. Open the ink cartridge access door.

  2. Press and hold the Wireless button for 3 seconds.

  3. Close the access door. A Load Paper message displays on the control panel, and the printer begins initializing.

  4. If the initialization does not begin, repeat steps a through c until initialization begins.

  5. Follow the prompts on the control panel to complete initialization.

let me know how that pans out,

And the answer to the above question will help me, help you!
