When hpeprint was new, I signed up my printer and designated an hpeprint email address I liked. When I got rid of the printer and bought a new one, I was told I couldn't reuse the old email address until 2 years have past. It has been 10+ years and I still can't recover the old email address. How do I get it back?

Sorry to have been unclear.

HP might have a way to release the original email name.

Yeah, but...

Years back, there was even a description in the how-to documents on how to "reuse" an old (previously used) email address.

In so much that I'm aware (and the last time I checked), the section no longer appears in the documents.

Conclusion:  HP did not release the old email address - and will not do so.

I'm on my third iteration of my printer's email address - first two were lost, locked, "whatever" .

What does that mean to you?  Nothing.  Just saying, Yes - it happens.

Welcome to the HP User Community.

After so long, if the "old" ePrint address cannot be reused, it's not coming back.

Change / Assign a new address - you need only change just one character to make it "different".

So there is no way for HP to disassociate the email so I may re-associate it with my current printer?

Obviously I'm not happy with the answer, but thank you.

You are welcome.

I was unhappy the first time this happened to me.

By the third time, not-so-much, I guess.

Adapting to what we don't want is harder than Getting what we  do want.
