I sent an email to print a document and sent it to the wrong printer email address. Now I am terrified that the document (which contains my SSN) is in the hands of a stranger. How can I cancel the printing job?!

If the email address you sent to is a valid @hpeprint address, the you should of receive a email from hpeprint, then you know someone has your SSN.

If you did not get a reply, the @hpeprint you sent to is invalid, and your SSN is safely in the server trash.

Oh no I did get an email. I am in tears and so made at myself. Is there a way that I can contact the person? I sent them a message via sending it to their printer email asking them to shred it and contact me but haven’t heard anything yet. Does HP have their personal email or phone number I could contact them with... what should I do ?!

You have taken the correct step in asking them to shred the email.

I would not worry about it.
