Hp deskjet 2600

So for the past few days my printer keeps getting stuck in an error state.

I'm going to admit now I'm not the most tech savvy but can handle the basics.

My partner seemed to get it working again last night (no idea what he did) and this morning I printed afew different pages from different sources but now it's back in error state and I cant get it to do anything.

Is it something that can be fixed or is it new printer time? I home educate my 12 year old and am constantly needing to print things and without that facility it's a real inconvenience and is starting to impact our schedule and progress.
