Hp Envy 5030 won’t print black and white after editing with hp smart

Hello community,

i just bought the hp envy 5030 and I managed to connect it to my WiFi with the help of hp smart and my iPad Pro. So far i have printed with and without color successfully, but when I try to print a picture  taken from my iPad which has been edited with the hp smart (resized to appear on the upper corner of the page and rotated) it will just give me a blank paper. For the same picture if I print it with color it will come out as expected.

this does happen when I choose print quality “normal” , low and high quality photos are printed as expected 

any hints ?

I see that you have issues with printing normal quality photos, follow the steps to isolate and resolve the issue-

Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Check for updates on your iOS device. This one should help-Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch(This is a third-party link. Please do not click on any ad, image, download, popup or link or anywhere else as this is a third-party link meant only for viewing information).

If the issue persists, try removing the HP Smart App and reconfigure the printer. Refer HP Printers - Install and Use the HP Smart App for details.
