I am having trouble connecting my computer and my phone to the printer

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution. 

 

Please answer a few questions to assist you better:

 

  • Which HP printer model are you using?
  • Are you trying to connect via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or a USB cable?
  • Are both your computer and phone facing the same issue?

 

Meanwhile, try these steps:

 

Check the Printer Connection:

 

  • If using Wi-Fi, ensure the printer is connected to the correct network.
  • Restart the printer, router, and your devices.
  • If using a USB cable, ensure it's securely connected.

Check the Device Connection:

 

  • On your computer, go to Devices & Printers (Windows) or System Preferences > Printers & Scanners (Mac) and check if the printer appears.
  • On your phone, ensure you're connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.

Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor (for Windows):

 

Reinstall Printer Drivers:

 

  • Uninstall and reinstall the printer drivers from HP’s website for your printer model.

Check HP Smart App:

 

  • If you're using a phone, try connecting via the HP Smart App to troubleshoot connectivity issues.
