To complete the setup of your HP OfficeJet Pro 81350 printer using the HP Smart app on your iPhone, follow these steps:
1. Pre-checks
- Ensure that the printer hardware is fully set up. Remove all packing materials, connect it to a power source, and turn on the printer.
- Ensure your iPhone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network that you intend to connect the printer to.
- Enable Bluetooth and location services on your iPhone to help the HP Smart app discover the printer.
2. Download the HP Smart App
- Install the HP Smart app from the Apple App Store.
3. Install and Open HP Smart App
- Open the HP Smart app on your iPhone.
- On the Welcome screen, tap "Continue".
4. Add Your Printer
- Tap "Set Up a New Printer" within the app.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer.
5. Enter Wi-Fi Password
- When prompted, enter your Wi-Fi network password. Ensure the printer is correctly aligned with the network settings.
6. Secure the Connection
- Go to the printer to allow the app setup to proceed:
- For printers with a control panel display: Touch the check icon on the message "App is attempting to set up this printer".
- For printers without a control panel display: Press the Information button (
).
7. Complete Setup
- On the "Printer connected to Wi-Fi" screen, tap "Continue".
- On the "Connected Printing Services" screen, tap "Manage options" and then select "Continue" or "Accept All".
- Follow any additional on-screen prompts to finalize the setup.
8. Sign In or Create an Account
- Sign in to your HP account. If you do not have an account, follow the steps provided to create one.
9. Activate HP+
- If offered, follow the prompts to activate HP+. This includes additional benefits such as an extended warranty and free Instant Ink.
10. Finalize Setup
- After completing the steps above, your printer should be ready to use. Try printing or scanning a test page to ensure everything is working properly.
