I can't get rid of the ? mark

HP Recommended
ASUS
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have a HP OfficeJet Pro 6968 All-in-One Printer.   I cannot get rid of the ? MARK.  It will not allow my to go to the home.  If I am stuck on the ? MARK, I cannot print.  However, I am able to print a test page, but not a document.  Getting very agitated about now.
