Same printer seems to have installed twice, how do I remove the unwanted on from HP Smart?

Why is this not easy!!!

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

I understand that the HP Smart app shows two printers, I am glad to assist you.

Uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart app to fix the issue:-

Delete from /Users/Username/Library/Application Support/HP Smart.

Then delete HP Smart from the Applications folder

Then reinstall from the Mac App Store.
