This printer supports wireless and the support document (link below) lists your printer as supported with HP Smart (for iOS).

 

Might be you have a "really old" iPad??

 

Assuming iPad and iOS version is compatible, the following solutions are relevant...

Print from your Android, iOS, or Amazon Fire device with the HP Mobile printing app.
