Leaving my HP Wireless Printer On?

ENVY 6000 All-in-One Printer series ENVY 6000 All-in-One Printer series Connected to Internet

Hi: Should I turn off my HP wireless printer and unplug it when not in use as I only print occasionally and I see that it doesn’t power down if it’s on WiFi?

@ESchaffer, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

Yes, you may power off the printer when not in use. Need not unplug it.

When you power it on, it will auto-connect to the wireless network.

However, if the printer is enrolled in Instant Ink, the printer has to be connected to the internet and once every day so the data is updated.

I hope this answers your query.
