We moved to a new home.  After a 3 week wait we finally got internet hooked up.  Everything is running great, but now my printer won't work.  It keeps saying "off line".  I have shut off the router, computer, printer and rebooted them all.  Still not working.  I have done my best for 5 days to get this to work.  I love the fact that there is NO access to any HP tech support so I'm either going to have to buy a new printer, which I can't afford or reach out for help.  I tried the "virtual help' thing to only get to a point that a step or two doesn't apply to me.  OK, enough rambling...I'm sitting here in tears and have no idea what else I can do.

I have also pluged the computer cord back into my lab top (as one instruction said to do) and I have pushed the wifi button and the cancel botton at the same time, multiple times (as instructed)....and yet here I sit, still not able to print.

I would appreciate ANY help at all, thank you.

@Wildpaisley

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

  • The Print and Scan Doctor should fix this issue: Click here

If the issue persists try assigning a Manual IP Address

  • 1) Obtain the IP address of the printer – You can touch the “wireless” icon on the printer control panel to obtain the IP address or print a Network Configuration Page.
  • 2) Type the IP address on your web browser to obtain the printer EWS page on your computer.
  • 3) Go to "Network" tab - General - Select "Network protocols" - Select "Enable IPv4 only" (or similar) - Apply the settings.
  • 4) Go to the “Network” tab – Click on “Wireless (802.11) – Then click on “Network address (IPv4)
  • 5) Click Manual IP
  • 6) If you see a Suggest a Manual IP Address button, click Manual IP address, and the Manual IP addresses are automatically filled out for you.
  • 7) If your page does not have a button to suggest a manual IP address, type the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway using the numbers shown in the report you printed.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
