My 1week old printer isn't letting me printer or photocopy

I bought it a week ago, it's a wireless computer, it printed until the ink was depleted, when I added a new cartridge it started blinking suggesting that there was a cartridge problem, now I can't even see the WiFi connection, on the computer it has been written that there is an error, I don't know why, now it can't connect and neither does it printed, scan or photocopy, please assist

  • Which lights are blinking on the printer?
  • Which Operating system is installed on the computer?

Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:


Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.


Re-insert the ink cartridges. Try printing a printer status report

  • Press and hold the Cancel button for 3 seconds.
  • A Printer Status Report prints.
  • Check the ink levels in the printer.

Try making a copy in black and color and check if the issue persists.
