My printer, HP Officejet Pro 8600 series goes to sleep between print jobs and has to be rebooted I.e. Unplugged. It will then print what is in "Q"

Found this hope it helps.

Part of the issue is the WSD port. I found that my pc keeps switching back to it. I have now disabled the WSD port and created a TCPIP port. This solved ALL my printer sleep issues. HP and Microsoft dont appaear to understand that WSD is not a reliable print protocol.
