Need Help with the omen command center?

Hello, This is my first ever post on reddit,
Anyway about 3 or 4 years ago I bought the omen 880 Desktop, I believe there were 2 versions of it so here are my specs:
32 GB ram
Ryzen 1800x
GTX 1080TI

Anyway when i bought it it came with the OMEN Command center app already installed and it worked great with the overclocking, but around 2 weeks ago everytime i started it it was just black, black screen nothing could fix it, no buttons no menu absolutely nothing, so i reinstalled the omen command center from windows microsoft store and now when i go to over clock it, there is no APPLY button like there used to be, so it doesn't overclock, i reinstalled it from the HP website but still nothing, so the slider goes all the way to the right where it says overclock 159x times and no apply so it has no effect, i don't know what to do, i can't find any info on this, Any help?

I have gone through your Post and would like to help


I suggest you download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link:


HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook


  1. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

    Click Updates in the My notebook pane

  2. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

     Updates list in HP Support Center

  3. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

  4. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.

  5. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Also ensure Windows is up to date.


Select the Start  button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available


If the issue persists try creating a New User Account and let me know if the issue persists on the New Account
