Envy 5020

Hi, can you please tell me why my new printer, envy 5020 is stuck on the hp power on window with just two dots and the power button won't do anything. 

I already unplugged for a few minutes and when it came on it showed an error code OXD9033B58. Why is there nothing about what this means anywhere on the Internet? You don't have a list of error codes somewhere?

Also, it sometimes keeos turning on and off. 

And my phone can't find it even though it is hooked up to the same WiFi.

Please can you tell me what the problem is here?

Is the printer connected directly to wall outlet?

 

Meanwhile:

Remove the ink cartridges, and reset the printer

  1. Remove the ink cartridges from the printer.

  2. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.

  3. Unplug the power cord from the power source.

  4. Wait at least 60 seconds.

  5. Reconnect the power cord to a wall outlet and to the printer.

    NOTE: 

    HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

  6. Turn the printer on.

  7. Reinsert the ink cartridges, and then close the ink cartridge access door.

  8. If you receive a prompt to print a calibration or alignment page, do so.

Hi, 

I cannot remove the cartridges as they are stuck on the right side of the machine under a protruding bit of plastic. Well, I removed the colour one and did the steps you recommend but I do not see a cartridge access door?? Everything is exactly the same.

Would you please now send me a new remedy based on what I've told you, especially including what the error code means. I would like to know why not just how to fix it. This is a brand new printer and if I do get it working i feel this will happen again as there is clearly something going wrong.

What exactly is wrong with it?

Also, please reply a little faster. I really needed to do some printing ASAP. 

Please help.

This seems to be a hardware issue.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

I did this and there was no phone number came up. Only a virtual agent who will just give the same advice as previously. Can you PLEASE just give me a phone number to call so I can talk to a person. I am finding this website to be very difficult to navigate and pretty unhelpful.

Please reread the previous and advise with a phone number or some advice related to the error code I provided.
