Office jet 3830
Chrome OS

Hi all!

I just bought all new chromebooks and a new Hp Office Jet 3830 . They are all connected to the same wifi and they both have the printer set as default. When we print something it will go into the que but wont print. For example I am in word and just wrote something and printed it. It's been in the que for over 30 minutes and just says printing. It does this on both brand new chromebook . Some things it will print right away. I'm sure it's some setting I did but I cant figure it out because it says it's all connected. I have 100mg internet speed so it's not that. Also I'm sitting next to the printer. Someone please help! I've tried to get a phone number but it's like pulling teeth! Thank you in advance!

Hi @Jake66

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the  "Cannot print from Chromebook" issue.

Delete your printer from Google Cloud Print, then re-add it:

  • If you haven't yet, sign in to your Chromebook.
  • Open Chrome.
  • Go to the Google Cloud Print list of printers.
  • Delete any duplicate printers from the list.
  • Delete your printer from the list.
  • Set up your printer with Google Cloud Print again.
  • On the Chromebook, click the clock in the bottom right corner, and then click the Settings icon .

  • Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click Advanced.

  • Scroll to the Printing section, click Printers, and then click Add Printer.

    • If your printer displays, click it, and then click Add.

    • If your printer does not display, click Add Manually, and then follow the instructions to add the printer. Go to Chromebook Help - Set up your printer (in English) for more information.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
