Only printing blue!

HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in-One Printer - N911a

I haven't used my printer in over 2 years, and I have recently replaced all of my cartridges.  When I attempted to print a document it only printed with the blue ink. How can I fix?

@jazzykim, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Since the printer was not used for a long time, the nozzles would have been blocked. Let us try these steps:

Clean the printhead

  1. On the printer control panel, touch the Right Arrow () to display additional options.

  2. Touch Setup (), and then touch Tools.

  3. Touch Clean Printhead. There are three cleaning stages. A test page (different from the Print Quality Diagnostics page) prints between each cleaning stage. Do not use this test page for analysis. Touch No when prompted to continue the next level of cleaning.

Print a Print Quality Diagnostics report, and then evaluate the results.

  1. Load plain white paper into the input tray.

  2. On the printer control panel, touch the Right Arrow () to display additional options.

  3. Touch Setup (), touch the Down Arrow (), and then touch Reports.

  4. Touch Print Quality Report. The Print Quality Diagnostics Report prints.
