Ran out of ink, so replaced with new hp cartridges. Since then, the printer will print status reports, and wifi reports, but when sending print jobs from Dell laptop, I get a continuous message that the door is open. I have tried resetting as suggested, with no change. This printer is only a little over a week old.

Hi,

Try following the HP Print and Scan Doctor by selecting Fix Printing and check:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/HPPSdr.exe

If that doesn't help. power off the printer and restart the computer.

From the Control Panel open Devices and Printers, right-click your printer and select See What's Printing.

From the top Printer menu, select Cancel All Document and confirm, only once the list clears power the printer back on.

Now try printing and check for any difference.
