Photo paper weight

HP Recommended

I know the recommended weight is 75gsm but What is the MAXIMUM photo paper weight I can use for my printer

Generally, the 75 gsm weight is for the various types of plain paper supported by the printer.



Support for Brochure paper - this is (at least in the USA) typically 180 gsm.

Presentation Paper (again, in the USA) is 120 gsm.

Photo Paper is (typically) 250 gsm, though some printers can print on heavier media without problems.

Supported sizes A4; B5; A6; DL envelope (Note: many other media sizes are supported. Anything from 76.2 x 127 to
215.9 x 355.6 mm)
Supported weights 60 to 300 g/m²
Recommended weights 75 g/m²
Media Sizes Custom (metric) 76 x 127 to 216 x 356 mm
Types Plain Paper, HP Photo Papers, HP Matte Brochure or Professional Paper, HP Matte Presentation Paper,

This same document lists the recommended photo papers - nothing is noted beyond the typical weight for consumer printers - 250 gsm.

Personally, I would not expect the printer to handle anything beyond the recommended photo paper weight (250 gsm).
