@Hecb, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your Dark Photos Printed from Android Device!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Printing photos that appear too dark can be a frustrating experience. Here are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:
Check Lighting Conditions: Make sure the photo is not taken in low light conditions. Photos taken in dim light might appear too dark when printed.
Adjust Photo Settings: On your Android device, use photo editing apps to adjust brightness, contrast and exposure levels before printing. This can help to lighten the photo.
Select Correct Print Settings: Ensure you are using the appropriate print settings for the type of paper and resolution. Check if you can adjust settings related to brightness and contrast in the print dialog of your Android device.
Use Quality Photo Paper: Using high-quality photo paper designed by HP ensures better light reflection and can prevent dark prints.
Test Cartridge Levels: Check the ink-level icon on the printer screen to ensure the print cartridges are full and functioning correctly. Low ink levels might cause prints to appear darker.
Printer Adjustments: In the printer menu, check if there are any specific printer settings for brightness:
- Press Menu to display the printer menu.
- Navigate to Preferences and press OK.
- Adjust the Brightness if such an option is available.
Avoid Excessive Zoom: If you used the Zoom feature on the printer control panel, it might have magnified the image too much affecting its overall brightness.
Check Paper Orientation: Make sure the photo paper is loaded correctly, with the printing side facing up.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
