Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I updated to a Deskjet 2600 printer. I can't print. I am told that printer is not connected to network. Do I need a USB cable to connect printer to my desktop computer? There wasn't one in the box. I am connected to wi-fi. Why is this printer so hard to set up? I have been trying all day to get the printer to work. Not good enough HP. My previous printer had a cable to connect to computer and a CD to set up printer.

Follow the steps below-

 

Is there any antivirus/security software installed ion the computer?

 

Ensure your printer and computer are connected to the same network. 

 

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor

Download HP Print and Scan Doctor and run the program. It will automatically diagnose and fix any printer connectivity issues.

Use the guided troubleshooter Troubleshooting | Wireless Printing Center for instruction to isolate and resolve the issue.
