HP Officejet 4620
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hello!

I recently upgraded to a faster internet speed which came with a new modem/router and new wireless network. When I try to connect my HP Officejet 4620 printer to the new wireless network, I get an error message stating that the WPA passcode from my router does not match the WPA passcode stored in the printer. How do I resolve this problem?

Thank you.

@balf0019,

Thank you for reaching HP Community. I would be happy to help!

I would like to know, is your router set to work on 2.4 GHz network or 5 GHz network band?

Note: Many routers can operate in both 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz frequency bands, but not all HP printers support both bands. Make sure the 2.4 GHz router band is enabled and broadcasting. If the router broadcasts separate network names (SSIDs) for each band, connect the printer to the 2.4 GHz band SSID.

Reset the printer's network settings

* Press the (Wireless) button, and then, using the buttons on the right, scroll to and select Wireless Settings, select Restore Defaults, and then select Yes. A message appears stating that the network defaults have been restored.

Then, On the printer control panel, press the (Wireless) button using the right arrow select Wireless setup Wizard.

Select your network and follow the on-screen instruction to connect the printer to the network.

If the issue persists, connect the printer using the USB cable and follow the below link.
