Printer setup

Trying to set up WiFi direct since I have no WiFi Network. I plugged in printer, and the screen says it is trying to setup instaink, do not open or power off. It’s been stuck there for 15 minutes so I can’t access the control panel.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the printer setup. 

 

Please try these steps to reset the printer - 

 

1) Take out the cartridges.

2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.

3) Wait for 30 seconds. 

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector.

5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

 

To connect the printer through Wi-Fi Direct, refer to page# 128 from the Service Manual for steps.
